Meet Mary Ellen

Hello! My name is Mary Ellen. I love doing yoga and running at Turkey Mountain but I could just as easily lay in my hammock, eat goldfish crackers, and read a book for hours on end. I feel victorious anytime I make my partner crack up with laughter but our 10 yrs old is definitely the funniest of us three (she makes me snort daily). I feel like I’m constantly re-learning what it means to authentically care for myself, my family, and my community, and I’ve joyfully accepted the fact that I and my relationships are always a work-in-progress.

I work with survivors of sexual and domestic violence and the partners that love them dearly. They found ways to cope with these traumas but struggle to feel intimate, trusting, and joyful in their romantic relationships. As a survivor myself, I know the value of fully embracing your emotional, physical, and sexual self in a loving partnership.

If you suspect that your own or your partner’s unhealed traumas create distance in your relationship, I can help.
